Engagement is a must when navigating your way through the busy world of social media.
With over 2.23 billion Facebook users, 328 million Twitter users and 800 million Instagram users, it's hard to stand out in the crowd, especially if you're a business wanting to increase traffic.
What's a way to get users and potential customers to engage with your business?
Staying engaged yourself.
You might be surprised by how many businesses remain inactive for months at a time. This inactivity can be detrimental to the business as users find no reason to come back or become frustrated by the lack of new content and remove themselves from the page entirely.
Constant engagement is a necessary task to keep your audience engaged and returning.
Hitting that share button might also shed negative light on your business.
Sharing content via a link to Facebook or Twitter may be easy but will produce a generic title and URL. If your page is littered with impersonal content, your page might resemble spam to a customer instead of the engaging content you were hoping for.
Remember, each social media channel might have its own target audience too e.g. 18-24 on Instagram or 35-45 on Facebook and thus requiring personalized engagement for each channel.
Take the time to engage with your audience and plan to feature regular content.
